Insiders Guide to Tropical locations

Playa Bonita

Playa Bonita is our favorite. The waves come in often higher than other beaches but Bonita is generally shallow further out. I can walk out a hundred yards before my feet do not touch bottom. We love to play in the waves. Here is a map of the beaches for reference. Do be aware of the conditions. If the ocean is rough don’t go out unless you know what you are doing.  Protect your gasoline. After 5pm when the guards leave it is possible to have your gasoline siphoned away. Who knows who is doing it probably kids because gasoline is about 250 Pesos a gallon. At any rate if you are at Bonita go between 8AM and 5PM if you drive and your gas is not secured by lock or keep a sharp eye out. We have had no issues since we began following this routine and we simply love Bonita! Click on any image to view a larger version or scroll further to video.
